Plans for In-Person services
Thank you to everyone who completed our ‘Return to Church survey’. The feedback was really helpful.
In the midst of this on-going season we are continuing to assess the safety and viability of holding In-Person church services on a Sunday morning. Over the last few months we have been holding a hybrid Prayer Encounter, i.e. meeting both at the church centre and also online. This has proven successful and has helped us work through technology and health and safety requirements.
As a leadership we have decided to hold In-Person services on the first three Sunday’s in December, with a planned second service on the third Sunday. These plans are completely subject to Government guidelines at the time, alongside the weighing and discernment of the leadership. As we are all aware the current situation with Covid-19 is very changeable.
We appreciate that not everyone will want to return to In-Person services at this time. There is certainly no pressure for anyone to attend these services. In fact, we want to strongly encourage those, who in line with Government guidelines e.g. for medical\health reason have been advised not to attend large gatherings, to not attend at this time. We will be continuing to stream an online service on these dates for everyone online to remain connected to the church family. (Nb. If you are unable to access our online services and would like copies of services in other formats, DVD, CD then do please contact us, and we will make these available).
Our plans for December are as follows: -
*Our plan for each of the Sunday morning services is to have separate groups for our children and youth which will run alongside the main service. If the decision is made not to go ahead with any of the Sunday morning In-Person services, then we will still hold our regular service on YouTube.
**If we decide to cancel the afternoon service on Sunday 20th Dec, there will be no alternative, please tune in to our morning service.
Details in regard to the In-Person services will be communicated nearer the time. Please be aware that there will be reduced capacity of the church centre and you will be required to book in to reserve a seat on a first come first served basis – Nb. Booking is likely to be available about a week before the service.
Prayer and Support
Connect Group leaders, Guardians and other leaders, are working hard to keep connected with the church family. As members of the church family, many of you are staying in touch with each other – Thank you so much for looking out for one another! Where you feel able and it is safe to do so, consider meeting someone at their home or calling round and having a doorstep chat, give someone a phone call or chat to them on social media. Let’s seek to encourage one another and support one another through this next season, which can be quite bleak for some people and for them to easily feel isolated.
“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25
