In light of the Government guidance concerning Coronavirus and non-essential contact, we have taken the decision alongside other church denominations across the country, to suspend our public gathered worship services until further notice.
This means the suspension of: -

These are challenging times, which are somewhat restrictive to how we would normally operate. As Jarrod Copper recently tweeted, ‘Church isn’t closing – Church is changing!’. The Bible reminds us that when challenges arise, we need to be more resolute to worship God and be the people He has called us to be in the face of trials. I believe as we said last Sunday, this is a time to ‘ramp-up’ our faith and trust in God, to increase our prayer and communion with God, to find creative ways to ‘connect’ with each other and offer support and encouragement.
In order to communicate information we will be publishing notices on the website https://nlcm.org.uk/ and our social media pages; the fullest information will be on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SleafordNewLife/, whilst we will also post headline information on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/sleafordnewlife/?hl=en and Twitter https://twitter.com/SleafordNewLife.

We will put an audio recording on the church website as a podcast as usual.
We will be continuing our Frontline series up till Easter. Whilst we may feel as though our frontline may shift over the next few weeks, this is nevertheless an incredible opportunity for the church to release the potential of the Kingdom of God to the people we are connecting with.
Connecting and Caring
We want to encourage people to connect as much as possible, maintaining contact with church family as well as reaching out to our community.
Connect Group leaders, alongside church leaders, will be endeavouring to see that everyone has contact and conversation, but we want to encourage the whole church to be active and passionate about remaining connected and ‘encouraging one another and building each other up’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Use the telephone, social media, emails or other creative ways.
In these extraordinary times let’s increase our spiritual disciplines. What could you do?
Despite what maybe going on around us let’s be a people of a different spirit. We belong to a heavenly Kingdom – we are children of the God of hope, “may He fill you with joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13)
Jesus told us to be prepared for trials and tribulation in this world, but take courage, He has overcome the world. (John 16:33)
People are fearful, and often responding out of fear. Let us respond in love, always ready to give a reason of the hope that we have in Christ (1 Corinthians 13; 1 Peter 3:15)
In order to continue faithfully in our giving we would encourage you to give via online banking. Using online banking you also have the option to set up your giving as a regularly standing order through your banking app. When you pay online please complete the reference box to let us know where the monies should be allocated e.g. Offerings, Junction, Education for life. Please remember to use the correct bank account – see https://www.nlcm.org.uk/meetings/sunday-morning
If this is not possible for you to do, please contact the office either by phone or email and we will discuss other ways in which you can give.
We want to say thank you to everyone who is continuing to give and support the work of the church and its ministries in these challenging times.
